About Liam Ogle
Born in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies and raised in the Maritimes, on Prince Edward Island, Liam has always felt at home in both the mountains and at sea. Drawn to travel and explore from a young age, it’s only natural that he has developed a career as a professional expedition guide over the last 15 years.
The desire to share his passion for the natural world with those around him has brought Liam and his guests to the remote stretches of the British Columbian coastline; the unique landscapes of the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon and Ecuadorian Andes; and the far reaches of the South Pacific.
Liam resides in the small community of Tofino, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, with his loving and understanding wife. If you’re in town, you will most likely find him on the trails, sharing his love of the West Coast with guests of his own hiking company or walking the beaches with his husky dog, Te’a.
A certified Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) guide, sailor and professional explorer, Liam looks forward to delving into the history and wonder of the Polar Regions with Quark Expeditions guests and crew.
