Brooke Juhala

Expedition Guide, Photography Guide

When Brooke Juhala (she/her) isn’t working as one of Quark’s Photography or Expedition Guides in the Polar regions, she is busy being an international Documentary Filmmaker and Photographer based in Seattle, WA, USA. Specializing in exploring the intersection of culture and land use, her work has taken her around the globe documenting the vast spectrum of outdoor enthusiasts found within diverse backgrounds.
Some of her projects include: developing, co-producing and photographing the three-part series Inseperable for the international streaming platform WaterBear Network, documenting a first ascent in the Faroe Islands for Rock & Ice Magazine’s special annual edition, Ascent, as well as Directing outdoor educational videos for REI.
While juggling her creative career, Brooke has moonlighted as an Outdoor Guide and Instructor since 2016. Her areas of speciality include kayaking, rock climbing, trail running and backcountry skiing.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Brooke uses her technical skills to give back to her community by volunteering as a Rescue Team Member with Olympic Mountain Rescue.
Brooke loves watching the joy of creativity spark within others when learning and exploring the polar regions, and she is excited to share in her passions with you.
