About Kelly Henry
Sea Kayak Guide
Kelly first paddled a sea kayak in her native waters of Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island and immediately fell in love with the freedom to explore seldom-traveled coastal regions. After completing a master’s and doctorate in Oceanography, she chose to share her passion for the marine environment through Sea Kayaking.
Kelly's keen sense of adventure led her to guide in the exposed Pacific waters of the US west coast, an expedition experience in Taiwan, and to rough water sea kayak coaching in the United Kingdom. She is an accomplished sea kayak coach and holds advanced guiding and coaching awards with the American Canoe Association and British Canoeing.
When guiding, Kelly draws on her extensive paddle sports experience to create a safe environment for guests to connect with the natural world around them. She is delighted to share her experience and knowledge of this magical marine ecosystem.
Kelly now calls Anglesey, North Wales her home and together with her partner owns and operates Flow State Adventures, an adventure kayak outfitter. When she isn’t guiding in the Polar Regions, you will find Kelly surfing the tide races off Anglesey, white water kayaking in the Alps, or trail running in Snowdonia.
