Vladimir Seliverstov

Expedition Guide, Logistics Coordinator

Vladimir was raised in a small village just outside of Moscow. He began his maritime career as a bosun (boatswain) after undergoing intensive study at St. Petersburg’s seaman school. In 2005, he became part of the ship’s expedition staff, which allowed him to combine his passion for wildlife, the wilderness, photography and working with people.

He has enjoyed guiding over three hundred trips to the Arctic and Antarctic, where he continues to perfect his photographic art. Vladimir is a published artist, and his photos have been featured in many magazines. His Moscow photo exhibit of polar environments received high praise.

When not on ships, Vladimir lives in Russia, working on his photographs and writing stories to educate children about the wildlife of the Polar Regions.

A self-proclaimed ‘fix-it guy’, Vladimir can often be found servicing Zodiacs and repairing gear in his role as a shipboard logistics manager with Quark Expeditions.
