Currency (Arctic)

Quark’s Arctic voyages visit several different countries, so currency is based on what country you will be visiting during your voyage:  Canada, Norway, Greenland/Denmark, Finland, Iceland, or Russia.

Currency onboard Quark’s ships is in U.S. dollars. You will not be charged anything until the end of your voyage, and your credit card will be charged in U.S. dollars. Once you receive your invoice, you can pay by cash (U.S. dollars) or pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express).

It is always recommended that you inform your financial institution about your travel plans prior to leaving your home country to avoid the possibility of having your bank or credit cards frozen.

Any onboard purchases during your voyage (Polar Boutique, laundry, communications charges, drinks, etc.), will require your signature. This will be charged automatically to your cabin and at the end of your voyage you will receive an invoice.
