About Wayne Broomfield
Wayne Broomfield is an Inuit who was born and raised in a small remote fishing community in Nunatsiavut, Labrador. Here he grew up on the water practicing his traditional way and transferred those skills into a variety of work through cruise ships, or for Parks Canada at the Torngat Mountains Base Camp and Research Station. He has a lifetime of experience and skills that enable smooth exploration in remote areas. As a former mayor of Makkovik, he still has many connections to the area and lives in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and enjoys his Inuit culture such as hunting, fishing and spending time out on the land and water.
