About Boomer Jerritt
Boomer grew up in the Yukon and Northwest Territories and has always been an active participant in nature’s “outdoor playground.” Having spent the past 5 years aboard expedition ships as a photographer-in-residence and guide in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, he recently started working as a polar bear guide along the shores of Hudson Bay.
Guiding is a relatively new pursuit for Boomer, as the backbone of his career has been in the photographic industry, where he was at the helm of his own photography business for over 25 years. He has authored 3 photography books, and his images can be found in more than 15 major stock collections, including Getty Images, agefotostock, Alamy and All Canada Photos.
A passionate photo educator, Boomer leads photo tours and workshops throughout Vancouver Island, British Columbia and Africa. Photographers of all levels have benefited from his fondness for helping facilitate the potential of the camera as a creative tool, working to unlock the “creative” within us all!
